Destination Event Hosting

Inspired by the allusion to nightlife, urban vernacular, and notes of baby talk, the Bootie Call Baby (gender) Reveal was a destination event in a class of its own! With guests traveling from L.A., Miami, and England the first-time Glam Ma (maternal) and social media personality (26.4K IG followers) hosted an island getaway weekend they would not forget!

Day 1:

Arriving in Kingston, the country’s capital, co-ed guests were warmly greeted with custom His and Hers gift bags aboard private transportation services. Welcome gift items included CIROC Vodka Pineapple flavored popcorn, mini Tito’s Vodka, and drink-themed flip flops for Her or beach sunset theme for Him…curated goodies they can enjoy on the scenic 3-hour drive to Treasure Beach. At the half-way mark, the caravan paused for a taste bud explosion at Murray’s Fish & Jerk Hut. By nightfall, guests arrived to their seaside destination on the south coast of Jamaica perched over the Caribbean Sea known as Treasure Beach.

Day 2:

Guests woke up to the daytime view of the majestic acre-and-a-half villa. Views of the sea wrapped around as the melodic sound of the waves spoke serenity to their ears. The aroma of an authentic Jamaican breakfast was all that was needed to relax and enjoy the view. After breakfast, guests enjoyed the amenities which include a private beach, cabanas on both levels, two-edge infinity pool, kayaks, hot tub, and more! Later in the day, it was time to party at the sandbar a few miles in the ocean at The Pelican Bar.

Day 3: The Bootie Call

Before the sun kissed the sea, guests walked a few steps into the Bootie Call. Upon entry, each stopped at the “Sanitize + Sip” station, choosing from either the custom pink or blue hand wipes. The pink read “Sugar and Spice and both hands wiped” while the blue was a reference to Hip Hop duo Outkast’s “So Fresh, So Clean” 2000 hit. Once sanitized, guests choose from three welcome drinks: blue with floating rubber duckie for team boy, pink topped with strawberry flavored cotton candy for team girl, and for the undecided a coconut flavored cocktail with an edible event-inspired drink topper that read “Welcome to Shay and Kamarie’s Baby Reveal”.

The seaside day party offered a mixed seating style. White tables snaked through the sprawling yard giving guests a 270-degree view of the ocean. Continuing with Team Girl vs Team Boy, guests choose to sit at either a blush pink or royal blue setting. A keepsake acrylic card sat atop each plate. Alternating pink and blue napkins were knotted with gold prop baby pacifiers. The gold stem drinkware held another keepsake; engraved mirror pink and blue drink tags of the parent’s name. Centerpieces were white faux rose covered teddy bears and mixed over-sized baby bottles filled with white wisteria flowers.

For the loungers, the outdoor sectional and fire pit decorated with party-themed custom throw pillows served as a private oasis.

The 3D structured diaper bag cake defied gravity with a suspended baby bottle. Complimenting desserts included realistic mini clutch Hershey’s purses, candy YSL-inspired men’s bifold wallet, candy YSL-inspired chain wallet, and sugar cookie baby clothes.

After sunset, the parents to-be learned the sex of the baby by smashing a large geometric breakable chocolate bear. Blue smoke was released as “BABY” in marque letters was lit in the background. Stylist |Boutique Owner Trace the Label designed a one-piece swimsuit with flowing trains on both shoulders which danced in the sea breeze.

Day 4: Sunrise Send Off

Guests savored their last day at the private oceanside villa awakening to a traditional Jamaican breakfast. To sweeten the send-off, guests were treated to a gifting station. The eclectic mix of Items included: customized mask cases (Michelle Madison); mini girl and boy champagne Bling Bottles (Michelle Madison); custom scented candles with note reading “Get LIT with us when baby arrives” (Afro Latina owned Erato 12); and edible geometric, chocolate breakable bears with note reading “Smash’d now we’re here”.

To note, centerpieces were hand-made by the event designer. Other tableware items including, stemware, flateware, custom pacifier napkin rings, faux florals, gifting favors, drink garnishes and select desserts were imported !
